Obituary for Earl Eugene Irvan

Earl Eugene Irvan, 84 of Van Buren passed away Sunday, April 20, 2014 in a local hospital. He was retired owner/operator of Irvan DX service station operator in Van Buren; a lifelong residence of Crawford County and a native of Rudy, Arkansas; He was an U.S. Navy Veteran of the Korean War. He was preceded in death by his parents, Noah and Eva (Cradduck) Irvan, a twin sister and five brothers.

Graveside service will be at 10 AM Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at Mt. McCurry Cemetery in Rudy under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Verna (Osman) Irvan of the home; four daughters, Diane Gordon of Muldrow and her husband Eddie, Janice White and husband, Jerry of Van Buren, Angela Moore and husband, Gary of Poteau, OK, Courtney Butler and husband, Ronnie of Barling; one son, James Irvan of Van Buren; one sister, Helen Flannery of Dallas, TX; two sister-in-law’s Okie Hunter of Van Buren, Marilyn Irvan of Boise, Idaho; seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Family will visit with relatives and friends Tuesday, April 22, 2014 from 5-7 P.M. at Ocker Funeral Home 700 Jefferson Street, Van Buren.
