John Henry Goff, Jr., 85, of Alma, Arkansas passed away on Saturday, March 13, 2021 in Bentonville, AR. He was retired from U. S. Foods, a member of Alma First Baptist Church and volunteered at the Alma Community Outreach every week. He was a U. S. Marine Corp Veteran serving during the Korean War and was proud of his service. John received an invitation from Vince Lomardi to try out for the Green Bay Packers. He loved spending time with his family and fishing. He was born September 3, 1935 to the late John H. Goff Sr. and Ruth Williams Goff and was also preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Jean Goff (Butler) and sister, Patricia Mathis.


Funeral service will be 11:00 A. M. Friday, March 19, 2021 at First Baptist Church of Alma with interment in Alma City Cemetery. The service will be livestreamed on the Ocker-Putman Facebook page.

Survivors include his daughter, Anja Morgan and husband Ron of Lowell; Son, Jarrod Goff and wife Tonya of Owasso; grandchildren, Tara Lewis and husband Trent, and McKenzie Goff; great grandchild, Theo Jon Lewis; sister, Sharon Utley and brothers, Gerald and Leon Goff.

Pallbearers will be Bill Goff, Jeff Goff, Kirk Hobbs, Trent Lewis, Peyton Sanders and Brent Taylor.

Honorary pallbearers will be Bo Butler, Jackie Taylor, Bill Brown, James Hargis and Kenneth Hanna.

The family will visit with friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening, March 18, 2021 at Ocker Funeral Home of Alma, 917 Hwy. 64 East, Alma, AR.
