Obituary for Jerry Doyle Shelton
Jerry Doyle Shelton, 72, of Mountainburg, AR passed away on Sunday, April 11, 2021 in a local nursing home. He was a welder for Arkhola Sand and Gravel, a proud Vietnam Veteran and a lifetime member of the Mountainburg VFW and DAV. He was born June 24, 1948 in Waldron, AR to the late Doyle and Myrtle (Tollison) Shelton. Jerry was preceded in death by brothers, Jimmie Shelton, Joey Shelton and Alan Shelton.
Funeral service will be 10:00 A.M. Thursday, April 15, 2021 at Ocker Chapel of Alma with interment in Dyer Cemetery under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Alma.
Survivors include wife, Delora; sons, Jerry Scott Shelton of Van Buren, Raymond Jay Moore and Nathan Murel Moore both of Alma, AR; Sisters, Patricia Bodine of Dyer, AR, Shirley Sapley, and Mattie Strouss all of Alma, AR; brother, Jackie Shelton of Alma, AR; 9 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandhildren.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Shelton, Raymond Moore, Nathan Moore, Blake Shelton, Hagen Moore and Brandon Breshears.
Honorary pallbearers will be all of his grandchildren.
The family will visit with friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday evening, April 14, 2021 at Ocker Funeral Home of Alma, 917 Hwy. 64 East, Alma, AR.
